Vacancy: Web Engineer

Utrecht, 32 to 40 hours per week.

You will design, build and optimise websites and applications together with a team of developers. You will be the first point of contact for clients and will work with them to manage a wide range of projects within the realm of ecommerce.

One day you may work on increasing the performance of a website, and the next you may be creating a custom API connection between a webshop and a third party software. Occassionally you will help with the technical integration and configuration of marketing technology such as tag management or email marketing systems.

You should know your way around content management systems and have experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. You will work on multiple projects so the position requires flexibility and the ability to plan and prioritize well.

What you'll do

  • Create and optimise websites.
  • Create and test applications for websites.
  • Troubleshoot website problems.
  • Maintain and update websites.
  • Implement tag management.
  • Implementation of DataLayers and web analytics.
  • Integration of marketing technologies.

Who you are

  • You are open, direct and have a positive attitude.
  • You are a native Dutch speaker and like communicating with clients and managing projects. 
  • You are flexible and capable of handling fast-changing priorities.
  • You have experience with web development, HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript.
  • You do not shy away from new technologies or types of problems, and instead look at them as an opportunity for growth.
  • You are eager to learn and develop yourself.

Preferably you are familiar with:

  • E-commerce platforms like WordPress and Magento.
  • Google Tag Manager, Analytics, Data Studio, BigQuery.
  • WordPress development of themes and plugins.
  • Lean and SCRUM.
